Life Aholic

Life Aholic is a boat and jet ski hire company at Puerto Deportivo Tomás Maestre, at km 13 of La Manga. It rents boats to skipper with or without a boating licence and organises guided jet ski tours, with the advantage that this harbour gives access to both the Mar Menor and the Mediterráneo.

The fleet

• Life 115 CV: 6 metres long, up to 7 people. A boating licence is required. From 240 € (2 h) to 2.700 € (1 week).
• Life 70 CV: 5,5 metres long, up to 6 people. A boating licence is required. From 200 € (2 h) to 2.100 € (1 week).
• 70 CV rigid inflatable boat: 5,5 metres long, up to 8 people. A boating licence is required. From 200 € (2 h) to 2.100 € (1 week).
• Life 15 CV: 5 metres long, up to 6 people. No boating licence required. From 160 € (2 h) to 1.900 € (1 week).

All boats include a canopy, sun deck, cool box with ice and drinks, table, swimming ladder, anchor, GPS tracker, radar sounder and safety equipment, with fuel and third-party and passenger insurance included in the fixed price.

Options and times

• Full day: from 10:00 to 18:00 (8 hours).
• Half day: from 10:00 to 14:00 or from 14:00 to 18:00 (4 hours).
• Full day + sunset: from 10:00 until sunset.
• Golden hour: from 18:30 until sunset (around 3 hours).

Licence-free boats can travel up to 2 miles from a port, marina or sheltered place; boats requiring a licence can travel up to 5 miles.

Guided jet ski tours

• Isla Grosa Ride: 1 hour, 130 € per jet ski, departing at 15:00.
• Mar Menor Experience: 1 hour, 150 € per jet ski, departing at 17:30.
• Cabo de Palos Tour: 2 hours, 195 € per jet ski, departing at 12:00.
• Calblanque Adventure: 3 hours, 295 € per jet ski, departing at 8:00.

Prices are per jet ski (a minimum of 2 jet skis is needed for a trip), with photos and video included and a maximum of 2 people per jet ski. A qualified instructor always leads, so no boating licence is needed. Trips without fixed departure times are also available, subject to availability, from 90 € (45 minutes).

Jet ski hire requiring a licence

Those who already have a boating licence can also hire a jet ski independently: half day (300 €) or full day (500 €), for up to 2 people, with fuel charged separately.

Deposit and bookings

The deposit is 400 € for boats and 500 € for jet skis requiring a licence; it is held on a card and released if the craft is returned in good condition at the agreed time. For licence-free boats, an identity document is enough; for those requiring a licence, bring the physical document. Physical documentation is also needed on guided tours if a participant is under age, along with signed permission from a parent or legal guardian.
