Handmade resin beaches, cove by cove

PLM Resin is the craft workshop of Paloma Tobal, who lives in La Manga del Mar Menor and handcrafts epoxy resin beaches on wooden bases. Her main project is to recreate the real coves and beaches of Cabo de Palos and La Manga, one by one, sometimes using sand from the beach itself.

Real coves captured in an artwork

The cove series also includes Calblanque, Calarreona and Cala Flores. Each piece aims to reproduce the waves, shoreline and water colour of that particular spot, making it a keepsake of a specific beach.

Useful and decorative pieces

As well as coves, she applies resin to everyday and decorative objects:

  • Coat racks, mirrors and tables
  • Chopping boards and coasters
  • Surfboards to hang on the wall
  • Pictures and keyrings

How to commission a piece

She mainly works to commission and occasionally releases available pieces. There is no physical shop: contact is through Instagram, @plm_resin, where she shows her work and answers enquiries. The project has featured in regional media such as Élite Murcia.

Paloma is an artist who makes resin artworks, recreating any beach you ask for using sand from that beach and matching the sea colour in that particular spot. She also decorates jewellery, belts, coat racks, keyrings, serving boards and more with resin. The result is glossy and spectacular.
