Responsible diving in the Islas Hormigas reserve

Balky Sub, also known as Balkysub, is a 5-star PADI diving centre with Career Development Center status, in units 8 and 9 at Paseo Dimas Ortega, 22, in Cabo de Palos. It dives in the marine reserve of Cabo de Palos and Islas Hormigas, emphasising sustainable diving that respects marine life.

What it offers

The centre works with both beginners and experienced divers. Its services fall into three areas:

  • beginner diving courses
  • guided dives in the marine reserve
  • training with PADI-certified instructors

The reserve's dive sites are a few minutes by boat from the harbour, so the journeys are short.

Season and bookings

    I've been diving with them for years, the best blue family. They do courses, introductory dives, refreshers, help you manage your fears and above all make you feel safe on dives, always looking after everyone. They're the best 🩵

    A diving school that feels like a family, everyone treats you so well and helps with your nerves. I did my Open Water there and have dived with them several times. I'll definitely go again as soon as I'm back! Isma is the best instructor, incredibly patient and always willing to help! Highly recommended
