From your first dive to the Naranjito and Stanfield wrecks

Naranjito Buceo is a dive centre and school at Calle del Magre, 26, in the Los Ibicencos development in Cabo de Palos. It takes its name from the cargo ship that sank off the coast, one of the wrecks it visits, and runs daily dives in the Islas Hormigas marine reserve all year round.

Courses and introductory dives

Training follows three certification agencies, PADI, ACUC and FEDAS, from beginner to advanced levels. Introductory dives are available for first-timers, and the centre also runs adapted courses for people with disabilities.

Where to dive

Trips combine coves along the Cabo de Palos coast, reefs in the reserve and well-known wrecks. The deeper wrecks, at 30 to 40 metres, are for suitably qualified divers:

  • The Naranjito
  • The SS Stanfield
  • The Carbonero

What divers say

Introductory dives are the main theme of the reviews, along with the instructors and the sense of safety they give first-time divers. There are also comments about the equipment, boat and reception staff.

Opening hours

Open Tuesday to Sunday from very early in the morning until early afternoon; closed on Mondays. Google recommends booking an appointment. It has an accessible entrance and adapted toilets.
