Cabo de Palos Playa de Levante

Playa de Levante in Cabo de Palos is an urban beach with around 400 metres of fine golden sand, linking the village centre with the start of La Manga del Mar Menor. It holds a Blue Flag, usually has calm water, and benefits from facing the underwater habitats of the Cabo de Palos e Islas Hormigas marine reserve.

Swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding

The calm water makes this beach good for swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding. The nearby marine reserve also makes the area very popular with divers, although dive trips leave from the harbour.

Cala Túnez, below the lighthouse

At the tip of the headland, below the lighthouse, lies little Cala Túnez, also known locally as Cala Cuna. It is a landmark on this stretch of coast and a good stop on a walk along the shore.

Getting here

The beach lies between the outer streets of Cabo de Palos and the start of the Gran Vía, so you can walk there from the village or the first few kilometres of La Manga.
