Playa del Estacio

Peaceful Mediterráneo, away from the high-rises

Playa del Estacio is a beach on the Mediterranean side of La Manga, between km 10 and 12,5 of the Gran Vía, from the Pueblo Cálido developments to the entrance to Puerto Mayor. It faces Isla Grosa and is away from the high-rise area, so it is usually uncrowded even at weekends.

Water and seabed

Reviews describe clear, calm water that is good for snorkelling. Seaweed and posidonia seagrass can wash up on the sand and shoreline, depending on the day. In summer there may be fried egg jellyfish, which do not usually sting, but keep an eye out if visiting with children.

Parking and when to visit

Visitors usually find nearby parking without much difficulty. Late summer and low season are the quietest times, with plenty of room to put up a parasol.
