Warm water and few people on the final stretch of La Manga

Playa La Veneziola is on the Mar Menor side of La Manga, between km 16,4 and 18,6 of the Gran Vía, by the Veneziola development. It is one of the quietest beaches on the northern stretch, with few people even in summer, warm water and very shallow depths for many metres.

Visiting with children

Wave-free, shallow water makes it a favourite with many families with small children. There is a seasonal lifeguard and a jellyfish net in August, although the odd non-stinging fried egg jellyfish still gets through. Seaweed appears on some days and can make going into the water less appealing.

Beach bar and sunsets

Boba beach bar is very close and recommended in several reviews. Towards evening, sunsets over Mar Menor are the other main reason to stay, and the promenade invites a walk at night.

For alternatives on both seas, see the beaches of La Manga.
