A hidden trig point with views of both seas

Punto geodésico Monte Blanco is the trig point at the top of the small Monte Blanco hill, between km 3 and 4 of La Manga, beside Edificio Monte Blanco Dos. In an almost entirely flat La Manga, this hill is a natural viewpoint over Mar Menor, Mediterráneo and Cabo de Palos.

Getting there

The road climbs almost to the top, and you can park beside Edificio Monte Blanco Dos. From there, the trig point is a minute's walk away: go around the back and keep climbing, as the marker is somewhat hidden and cannot be seen from below.

What you can see from the top

The view takes in both seas at once, with La Manga stretching out on either side and Cabo de Palos in the distance. Several visitors, including some from abroad, describe a 360-degree panorama, which is why many people know it as the Monte Blanco viewpoint rather than for the trig point itself.

This is a short, free visit that combines well with the mural at the start of the descent from Monteblanco. To plan your day, see what to visit in the area.
